Transport Tech offers refresher courses for those who already have a CDL. However, you should know that if you have not driven a truck for a year or more, most trucking companies are requesting that that people take full training. Because we customize each training course for the individual, you obviously would not go for the full six weeks, but you may want to think about taking the basics for peace of mind and for safety.

We offer three types of refresher courses: 40 hour, 80 hour, and 120 hour. The course that you take should depend on the requirements as set forth by your employer. Again, the longer you have been away from trucking, the more hours you can expect to take.

The cost of a CDL refresher course is $1,250 per week. Regarding any other fees, those who already have their CDL will only be required to pay for MVR & Criminal History Checks, Drug Screening and Physical, and any endorsements they wish to add in addition to what they currently have on their license. The fees for endorsements are: Hazmat: $85 total, Passenger: $5, Doubles / Triples: $5, and Tanker: $5
